Salary: £89,739 - £99,710

What you will do

• Act as a specialist legal adviser to BCB stakeholders on regulated and unregulated lending and security matters.
• Support the development of lending product journeys, policies, and procedures.
• Provide technical legal input for the digital transformation of BCB products and customer journeys.
• Manage legal risks using the relevant risk management policy framework.
• Supervise the selection, instruction, and management of panel law firms.
• Collaborate with CIB Legal and other internal networks to achieve Group objectives.

Requirements

• Qualified lawyer with a current practising certificate in a relevant jurisdiction.
• Experience in legal and regulatory frameworks applying to commercial lending for Business Banking, SME, and Mid Corporate customers.
• Post-qualifying legal experience in commercial lending and related security matters.
• Must be based in the UK to facilitate hybrid working in specified locations.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of CCA requirements and MCOB exemptions.
• Familiarity with the FCA's Consumer Credit sourcebook (CONC) and PRIN.
