What you will do
- Design and maintain enterprise risk and compliance frameworks, governance structures, risk registers, and monitoring processes aligned with business growth.
- Lead regulatory compliance across FCA, consumer protection, advertising standards, data protection, and fraud risk.
- Develop compliance controls, policies, training, and monitoring processes organisation-wide.
- Monitor regulatory developments (FCA, FSMA, Consumer Duty, ASA/CAP, CMA, CPRs) and guide responses to changes.
- Provide guidance on new products, partnerships, and customer journeys in financial services and regulated sectors.
- Lead the risk and compliance team, build relationships, and promote a culture of accountability and informed decision-making.
Requirements
- Significant risk and compliance experience in a high-growth technology business.
- Proven people management experience leading a small team.
- Strong knowledge of UK regulatory frameworks: consumer protection, data protection, financial services (FCA perimeter, Consumer Duty, financial promotions).
- Experience as a strategic adviser translating regulations into commercial guidance.
- Experience with regulatory considerations across multiple jurisdictions.
- Strong stakeholder management and familiarity with compliance tools/automation.

- Experience in private equity-backed businesses during growth or regulatory change.
