What you will do
- Develop block diagrams and schematics from initial concept through to production release.
- Create Hardware Unit Design specifications and detailed test plans.
- Utilize Ansys HFSS 3D solver for circuit design and high-speed simulations.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with FPGA, FW, and Test engineering teams during product integration.
- Provide technical guidance to CAD designers and work closely with layout engineers.
- Support designs in production and manage the transfer of products to contract manufacturers.
Requirements
- BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or Physics.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in high-speed board design.
- High proficiency in schematic design tools (e.g., Xpedition) and EM simulation tools (HFSS/ADS).
- Strong fundamentals in EM and RF, including impedance matching and S-parameters.
- Experience with high-speed RF measurements and characterization equipment (Spectrum/Network Analyzers).
- Must be based in or able to work in Atlanta, GA in a hybrid capacity.
Nice to have
- Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience with coherent optical systems and Coherent Pluggable XCVR design.
- Knowledge of telecom performance standards such as Telcordia, IEC, and ITU.
- Proficiency with Mentor Graphics DxDesigner and Hyperlynx.
- Programming skills in LabView, Python, or Matlab for test purposes.
