What you will do

• Develop block diagrams and schematics from initial concept through to production release.
• Create Hardware Unit Design specifications and detailed test plans.
• Utilize Ansys HFSS 3D solver for circuit design and high-speed simulations.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with FPGA, FW, and Test engineering teams during product integration.
• Provide technical guidance to CAD designers and work closely with layout engineers.
• Support designs in production and manage the transfer of products to contract manufacturers.

Requirements

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or Physics.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in high-speed board design.
• High proficiency in schematic design tools (e.g., Xpedition) and EM simulation tools (HFSS/ADS).
• Strong fundamentals in EM and RF, including impedance matching and S-parameters.
• Experience with high-speed RF measurements and characterization equipment (Spectrum/Network Analyzers).
• Must be based in or able to work in Atlanta, GA in a hybrid capacity.

Nice to have

• Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience with coherent optical systems and Coherent Pluggable XCVR design.
• Knowledge of telecom performance standards such as Telcordia, IEC, and ITU.
• Proficiency with Mentor Graphics DxDesigner and Hyperlynx.
• Programming skills in LabView, Python, or Matlab for test purposes.
