TL;DR

Mid-Level Programmer (Gamedev): Working on a variety of programming disciplines including gameplay, core tech, UI, animation, physics, and tools across proprietary or commercial engines like Unreal, Unity, or Frostbite with an accent on high-performance code and multi-platform development. Focus on implementing features, collaborating with global teams, owning tasks from planning to delivery, and continuously improving skills on AAA titles.

Location: Hybrid in UK studios (Daresbury or Newcastle): 3 days per week in studio (Wednesday, Thursday, and one day of choice)

Studio part of Keywords Studios Group, providing co-development services for AAA games like EA SPORTS FC, Hogwarts Legacy, and The Witcher 3 to global clients including EA and Playground Games.

What you will do

• Work on diverse programming areas (gameplay, core tech, UI, tools, physics, animation) on various engines and platforms.
• Write high-standard, performant code, participate in code reviews, and collaborate with internal/global teams.
• Own tasks including planning, estimations, progress updates, testing, and documentation.
• Continually update skills and knowledge, adapting to technical challenges.

Requirements

• 2+ years experience (including internships)
• C++
• Professional experience in at least one engine: Unreal, Unity, Frostbite, or Proprietary
• Experience in areas like gameplay, UI, physics, networking, animation, core tech, or graphics
• Experience with IDEs and source control
• Strong teamwork, communication, enthusiasm for challenges, and desire to learn
