TL;DR

Recoveries Handler (Motor Insurance): Manage end-to-end non-fault motor insurance claims, recovering costs from third parties with an accent on liability assessment, commercial decision-making, and negotiation. Focus on maximising recoveries, minimising costs, and ensuring compliant customer-fair outcomes through proactive case management and supplier collaboration.

Location: Sevenoaks, UK (hybrid working options). Must have at least one year remaining on Graduate or Post-Study Work visa; no sponsorship.

Salary: £26,938 – £28,648 per annum, plus up to £1,500 annual performance-related bonus (eligible after probation).

What you will do

  • Manage non-fault repair, recovery, and uninsured loss claims from start to finish, assessing liability, indemnity, and financials.
  • Make commercial decisions to maximise recoveries, negotiate subrogated outlays, and process payments within delegated authority.
  • Engage with suppliers, solicitors, partners, and handle inbound calls from customers and third parties.
  • Maintain accurate records, reserves, and drive claims progression while identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Contribute to team improvements by sharing insights and supporting positive change.

Requirements

  • UK work eligibility: at least one year remaining on Graduate or Post-Study Work visa; no sponsorship available.
  • Good understanding of motor insurance, non-fault processes, liability, and subrogation.
  • Strong technical grounding with regulatory awareness, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Analytical mindset, attention to detail, proactive ownership, and ability to manage pressure and deadlines.
  • Clear, confident communicator comfortable with decision-making.
