What you will do

• Build and optimize backend services using Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, Flink, and streaming platforms in a high-traffic environment.
• Manage microservices architecture, API integrations, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD, and AWS.
• Lead cross-team initiatives, define technical strategy, and develop roadmaps for business-critical projects.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver business impact and solve complex problems autonomously.
• Work on JS frameworks like React or Vue as needed for full-stack contributions.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience as Senior Software Engineer - Backend
• Strong technical stack: Java, Spring Boot, Docker, Kubernetes, Microservices, API integrations, Terraform, CI/CD, Kafka, Flink, Kafka Streams, AWS, JS Frameworks (React, Vue)
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
• Experience leading cross-team initiatives and defining technical strategy for complex projects
• Location: Amsterdam - Hybrid; start as soon as possible, latest 1st September 2025
