What you will do

• Design and implement backend systems, business domains, data models, and API contracts end-to-end.
• Develop services using Python/FastAPI, build APIs, background workers, and event-driven components.
• Optimize database schemas/queries in PostgreSQL, implement caching/rate limiting with Redis.
• Define testing strategies (unit/integration/functional) and ensure high reliability in payment flows.
• Debug production issues, contribute to observability, and conduct code reviews/mentoring.
• Collaborate on feature design, architecture evolution, and engineering best practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years commercial Python experience.
• Strong FastAPI (or similar async), SQLAlchemy v2 (ORM, Alembic), PostgreSQL advanced optimization.
• Redis (caching, locks, pub/sub), Pydantic, async/await, REST APIs with layered architecture.
• Third-party API integrations, webhooks, testing with pytest, Git/CI/CD.
• Experience designing systems, architectural decisions, mentoring, code reviews.
• Confident use of AI tools in development with result validation.

• Google Cloud services (BigQuery, Pub/Sub etc.).
• Background jobs (ARQ/Celery), webhook systems, Datadog/Sentry.
