What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain Python backend services and REST APIs; own data models and query optimization in MongoDB and PostgreSQL
• Write clean, tested code, participate in code reviews, build internal tooling, containerize with Docker
• Administer AWS environment (EC2, ECS, RDS, IAM, networking); build and optimize CI/CD pipelines
• Manage observability with Datadog (dashboards, alerts, logs); handle Elasticsearch and Kafka deployment/monitoring
• Implement DevSecOps practices: access control, secret management, auditing, SOC 2 compliance
• Debug issues, write documentation, lead incident retrospectives

Requirements

• 4-5 years backend engineering and/or DevOps experience
• Production Python for services, REST APIs, scripting
• Strong SQL, hands-on MongoDB
• Docker for containerization
• AWS fundamentals: EC2, ECS, RDS, IAM, networking
• CI/CD with GitHub Actions or similar; SOC 2 or security controls exposure
• Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills

Nice to have

• Kubernetes or ECS Fargate experience
• Threat intelligence or cybersecurity SaaS familiarity
• Datadog or observability tooling
• DevSecOps or security engineering background
• Startup or fast-moving environment experience
