DevOps Engineer

TL;DR

DevOps Engineer (AWS/Kubernetes): Support development team with CI/CD tools, automations, testing, deployment processes and manage scalable AWS infrastructure with an accent on performance monitoring, security, cost predictability, and modern cloud architecture upgrades. Focus on implementing state-of-the-art tools like Kubernetes, Terraform, infra-as-code, interacting with developers, data engineers, scientists, and product managers to solve real problems.

Location: Hybrid in Utrecht/Amsterdam offices, Netherlands (90% remote, office meetings every now and then)

What you will do

• Support development team with CI/CD, testing, deployment tools, automations, and processes.
• Manage AWS infrastructure, monitor performance, ensure scalability, security, and predictable costs.
• Upgrade infrastructure using Kubernetes, infra-as-code, Terraform, and managed services.
• Interact with developers, data engineers, scientists, and product managers to deliver solutions for real problems.
• Join small DevOps team, work independently on projects, share knowledge, review code, improve tools.
• Proactively prioritize and solve development team needs in a scaling platform environment.

Requirements

• Near-native fluency in English
• 2+ years experience setting up, maintaining, monitoring production infrastructure
• Familiar with AWS cloud products
• Professional software engineering practices: version control, merge requests, testing, code standards, CI/CD, dev/staging/prod environments
• Proactive, pragmatic approach to prioritizing and solving team needs
• Passion for developer tooling, serverless/event-driven architectures, cloud solutions, scale-up life
