Senior Fullstack Engineer

TL;DR

Senior Fullstack Engineer (EdTech): Building and optimizing web apps, APIs, databases, and infrastructure to support rapid growth of a global education platform with an accent on collaboration, frequent deployments, and high-quality engineering practices. Focus on shipping features incrementally, improving shared systems and tooling, and driving technical excellence through process enhancements.

Location: Remote (Argentina; Colombia). You live and work in the Americas timezones.

Compensation: $80K – $100K

What you will do

• Ship new and improved features through writing, debugging, and optimizing code for web apps, APIs, databases, and infrastructure with automated tests and monitoring.
• Deliver code to production frequently and incrementally via pair programming, mob programming, code reviews, and design sessions.
• Contribute to cross-team improvements in common systems, tooling, build and delivery pipelines, and technical architecture.
• Unblock teammates, break down work for incremental value delivery, grow junior engineers, and improve product and process quality.
• Foster collaboration, psychological safety, and awareness of business context.

Requirements

• 8–10+ years of professional software experience.
• Experience at companies of various sizes, from large tech players to startups, delivering impactful user and business outcomes.
• Driven technical excellence via process, practices, and tools like test automation, CI/CD, and DevOps.
• Strong communication to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Ownership mindset, comfort with fast-paced environment, pair programming, and team collaboration.
• Passion for education and impact on millions of kids' lives.
• Live and work in the Americas timezones.

Nice to have

• Used Node and/or React at scale.
• Worked with MongoDB or MySQL.
• DevOps experience, especially on AWS.
