TL;DR
Software Architect (AWS/C#/React): Define and drive the long-term technical roadmap for a high-scale video knowledge management platform with an accent on architectural patterns, AWS infrastructure, and systems design. Focus on reducing technical debt, ensuring performant and secure systems, and translating complex requirements into elegant designs.
Location: Remote (US)
Salary: $180,000 - $200,000 USD

What you will do
- Define and drive the long-term technical roadmap, implementing high-impact architectural patterns to reduce technical debt and accelerate development.
- Design AWS-based infrastructure for performance, security (ISO 27001), and cost-effectiveness.
- Translate complex product requirements into elegant technical designs for feature teams.
- Conduct design reviews, troubleshoot bottlenecks, and elevate code quality across teams.
- Advise CTO and Product leadership on technical trade-offs focused on customer impact and business growth.
- Remain hands-on with codebase, collaborating directly with developers on implementation.
Requirements
- 12+ years experience designing and evolving complex, distributed systems at massive scale
- Deep proficiency in AWS (or similar), CI/CD pipelines, and high-scale backend services
- Fluency in modern languages (C#, Python, or Java) and web standards (React/TypeScript)
- Track record of modernizing legacy codebases while maintaining stability
- Lead through influence and technical merit, investing in team growth
Nice to have
- Experience in Technical Lead or Architect role steering high-level strategy
- Expertise in high-availability enterprise systems and legacy modernization
- Familiarity with ISO 27001, TX-RAMP, and WCAG accessibility standards
