What you will do

• Define and own enterprise-wide observability architecture, standards, reference architectures, and multi-year roadmaps.
• Evaluate, select, and standardize observability tooling like Grafana, Prometheus, and OpenTelemetry to optimize costs.
• Design scalable data pipelines for petabyte-scale metrics, traces, logs, and profiling across multi-cloud environments.
• Develop Terraform modules and Helm charts for infrastructure provisioning and enforce OpenTelemetry instrumentation standards.
• Champion SLO/SLI frameworks and provide architectural guidance to engineering teams.
• Serve as escalation point for incidents and mentor Observability Engineers and SREs.

Requirements

• 5-8 years in Observability Architecture, SRE, or Platform Engineering
• Post-secondary Diploma/Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Mastery of OpenTelemetry, Prometheus-compatible systems (VictoriaMetrics), tracing (Tempo, Jaeger), and logs (Loki, Elasticsearch).
• Expert in cloud infrastructure (GCP preferred), Kubernetes, and software engineering in Go/Python.
• Strong analytical thinking, communication, and ability to influence across teams.
• Eligibility to work in the United States (E-Verify)

Nice to have

• Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) certifications.
