Vice President of Architecture (SaaS)

Salary: $250,000–$275,000 base + annual bonus

What you will do

• Define architectural principles, standards, and reference models for cloud-native SaaS platforms.
• Lead architecture decisions for major initiatives, balancing delivery speed with long-term scalability.
• Own the full cloud stack including IaaS/PaaS, containers, microservices, CI/CD, and observability.
• Promote reusable frameworks, standardize tooling, and deploy AI to boost engineering velocity.
• Mentor senior engineers, resolve high-risk technical challenges, and partner with executives on strategy.
• Embed security, compliance, and regulatory needs into all designs.

Requirements

• 12+ years in software engineering and architecture leadership.
• Proven executive leadership in cloud-native SaaS with hands-on expertise in cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, APIs, containers, and DevSecOps.
• Success leading large-scale architecture and platform modernization.
• Experience embedding security/compliance and deploying AI/ML in SaaS.
• Track record mentoring seniors and influencing cross-functional teams.
• Strong executive communication skills.
• Up to 15–20% travel.
