What you will do

• Design and evolve multiple production Ceph clusters, including hardware design, network requirements, configuration, tuning, and operations
• Create efficient APIs using systems/kernel features for safe, high-speed live migrations of stateful workloads between hosts
• Build API and orchestration services integrating storage primitives with Go, gRPC, ScyllaDB, and Temporal
• Write Engineering Requirement Documents to guide ideas from concept to implementation and success monitoring
• Develop a suite of storage primitives for customer applications, internal services, and platform features like streaming image pulls

Requirements

• Experience architecting and implementing distributed systems, focusing on fault-tolerant, resilient, and scalable services
• Production experience with distributed block device systems like Ceph or deep understanding of network storage cluster design
• Understanding and experience with filesystems such as Ext4, ZFS, BTRFS (bonus for EROFS, bcachefs)
• Strong intuition for solution longevity, monitoring error boundaries, documentation, and handling startup ambiguity
• Excellent communication, prioritization, and grit to implement, scale, and replace solutions as needed
