Senior Staff Platform Engineer (OpenStack/Ceph)

Senior Staff Platform Engineer (OpenStack/Ceph): Deploying, managing, and troubleshooting OpenStack environments with an accent on automation, packaging, and storage integration. Location: Prague, Czech Republic (Hybrid). This role is not eligible for relocation or visa sponsorship.

What you will do

• Deploy and configure OpenStack environments for development, testing, and production.
• Troubleshoot and resolve critical issues within OpenStack services and infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks and roles for system automation.
• Optimize Helm charts and container images for efficient OpenStack deployment.
• Integrate OpenStack with Kubernetes and the Taikun platform.
• Manage and optimize SDS storage solutions using Ceph.

Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant experience in platform engineering.
• Proven expertise in OpenStack deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Strong Linux system administration skills and proficiency with Ansible.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Helm, and container image optimization.
• Extensive knowledge of Ceph storage.
• Must have existing work authorization for the Czech Republic.

Nice to have

• Experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Knowledge of GitOps tools like Flux or ArgoCD.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or Crossplane.
• Contributions to open-source projects (OpenStack, Kubernetes, Ansible).
