What you will do

• Build application-level code using Golang, gRPC, Postgres, and OS primitives like syscalls and cgroups
• Lead projects from 0→N, scaling solutions while avoiding tech debt
• Design systems for current needs, 10x growth, and 100x scale in 18 months
• Communicate via RFCs and docs to break down and deliver large tasks
• Handle oncall rotations (1-2 weeks per quarter) and build monitoring, alerts, and dashboards
• Prioritize high-impact work with ownership and grit

Requirements

• Experience building application code (Golang, gRPC, Postgres)
• Knowledge of OS primitives (syscalls, cgroups)
• Proven track record delivering 0→N projects with scaling
• Ability to operate remotely with agency and urgency
• Experience with oncall, monitoring, alerts, and dashboards
• Strong communication skills using RFCs/docs for complex tasks

• Designed/procured $1M+ hardware for datacenters
