API Integration Engineer (Azure)

Location: Riga, Latvia office or remote from anywhere in the world; EMEA time zone option stated.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain integrations with external REST, GraphQL, and SOAP APIs, data pipelines, and webhooks.
• Implement event-based integrations using Kafka, RabbitMQ, Azure Event Grid, Logic Apps, and similar models.
• Define integration contracts, data mappings, and transformation logic with architects and product managers.
• Build and maintain middleware connectors for CRM, ERP, billing, and vendor marketplace systems.
• Ensure secure, scalable, and observable integration flows with logging, retries, and alerting.
• Create integration documentation, test cases, mocks, and participate in code reviews, agile sprints, and planning.

Requirements

• 3+ years of software development experience focused on system integrations or API/middleware development.
• Strong experience with RESTful APIs, OpenAPI/Swagger, JSON, and XML.
• Experience with Azure Logic Apps, Function Apps, Event Grid, and/or Service Bus.
• Knowledge of event-driven architectures and integration patterns, including Pub/Sub, webhooks, and retry policies.
• Proficiency in at least one backend language: C#, Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
• Familiarity with API management tools such as Azure API Management, Postman, or Swagger Hub.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.

Nice to have

• Experience integrating SaaS vendor platforms such as Microsoft, Adobe, AWS, or Salesforce.
• Familiarity with iPaaS solutions including MuleSoft, Boomi, or Azure Data Factory.
• Enterprise integration experience with ERP, CRM, or billing systems.
• Understanding of OAuth2, JWT, and TLS in integration contexts.
• Knowledge of data transformation and ETL principles.
