Platform Engineer (Storage): Building and operating core infrastructure for a compute marketplace with an accent on distributed block storage and high-performance networking. Location: Remote (Worldwide). Must be based outside the United States. Candidates must be able to reliably work within LATAM (GMT-3) or Philippines (GMT+8) time zones.

What you will do

• Design, deploy, and evolve production Ceph clusters from hardware selection to network architecture and tuning.
• Build efficient APIs leveraging kernel capabilities to enable near-zero-downtime live migrations of stateful workloads.
• Implement storage-orchestration and control-plane services using Go, gRPC, ScyllaDB, and Temporal.
• Author Engineering Requirements Documents to lead features from conception through rollout and evaluation.
• Develop foundational storage primitives to enable advanced platform features like streaming image pulls and movable build caches.

Requirements

• Deep experience building fault-tolerant, resilient, and scalable distributed systems.
• Production experience with distributed block storage systems (e.g., CEPH).
• Strong understanding of modern filesystems (Ext4, ZFS, Btrfs) and next-gen systems.
• Intuition for system longevity and the ability to design for 2-3 orders of magnitude scale.
• Must be based outside the United States.
• Ability to align with LATAM (GMT-3) or Philippines (GMT+8) core time zones.
