Platform Engineer (Networking)

What you will do

• Manage and maintain datacenter firewalls, rulesets, NAT, VPN tunnels, and security zoning.
• Configure L2/L3 networking including VLANs, LAG/LACP, port-channeling, MLAG, and routing policies.
• Operate SONiC or similar on ToR switches and build VXLAN/EVPN fabrics for multi-tenant networking.
• Configure and troubleshoot BGP for external peering and internal routing.
• Monitor network health, performance, reliability; design/deploy racks, switches, cross-connects.
• Integrate networking with server, virtualization, cloud teams for Kubernetes, KVM, CEPH; implement redundancy and scaling.
• Document setups for repeatability across datacenters and support incident troubleshooting with RCA.

Requirements

• Must reliably work within core time zones GMT-3 (LATAM) or GMT+8 (Philippines) and communicate fluently in English.
• Hands-on experience with overlay networking (VXLAN, WireGuard) and scalable multi-tenant networks.
• Operate/troubleshoot production datacenter networks: routing, switching, connectivity.
• Packet flow at L3/L4, Linux networking concepts/configuration/tuning.
• BGP and internet routing principles; build reliable, maintainable, documented solutions.
• Independent work in shifting priorities, ownership of problems, clear communication with teams.
