Location: Worldwide remote, but must reliably work within core team time zones GMT-3 (LATAM) or GMT+8 (Philippines) and be fully comfortable communicating in English across a globally distributed team.

What you will do

• Architect, maintain, and evolve core gRPC API services based on ConnectRPC.
• Design and operate a private, programmable microservices fabric for secure connections across the platform.
• Manage identity services using the Ory stack: Kratos, Keto, and Hydra.
• Develop DDoS mitigation strategies and high-performance Golang gRPC services scaling to millions of users.
• Implement immutable infrastructure for full tear-down, failover, and rapid reconstruction.
• Write Engineering Requirement Documents, collaborate with Applications and Platform teams on APIs.

Requirements

• Proficient in Golang with deep experience in high-performance, concurrent applications at scale.
• Strong track record architecting and maintaining gRPC services and robust API contracts.
• Experience with identity & auth services like Ory stack or OIDC/OAuth2.
• Systems mindset including overlay networking like WireGuard or service mesh.
• Build for resilience and security, including DDoS mitigation with eBPF or traffic shaping.
• Practice immutable infrastructure and drive engineering processes with clear documentation.
