Shopify Architect (Shopify)

TL;DR

Shopify Architect (Shopify Plus): Design and document complete end-to-end technical architecture for new and existing Shopify stores, including storefront design, backend services, integration strategy, and security. Focus on architecting complex system integrations with enterprise platforms like ERP, OMS, PIM, WMS, CRM, CDP using REST and GraphQL APIs, developing custom themes and apps with Liquid, React/TypeScript.

Location: Hybrid setup with 3 days from the office in the center of Warsaw, and 2 days remote.

Monthly compensation: 6,000 - 8,000 USD.

What you will do

• Design and document end-to-end technical architecture for Shopify stores (headless or theme-based), backend services, integrations, and security.
• Architect and develop integrations between Shopify and enterprise platforms (ERP, OMS, PIM, WMS, CRM, CDP) using REST/GraphQL APIs.
• Develop, customize, and maintain Shopify themes with Liquid, HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, React.
• Build and maintain custom Shopify apps, implement Shopify Functions and Checkout Extensibility.
• Act as technical advisor to client executives and teams, provide guidance on Shopify.
• Partner with Sales for technical vetting, solution scoping, estimations, and presentations.

Requirements

• 5+ years in e-commerce solution architecture or senior technical role, with at least 3 years Shopify experience.
• Expertise with Shopify Plus, admin features, Liquid, app ecosystem, headless architectures (Hydrogen/Oxygen).
• Experience developing custom Shopify apps, Shopify Functions, Checkout UI extensions.
• Strong hands-on with Shopify APIs (REST/GraphQL), modern web tech (HTML/CSS/JS/TS/React/Next.js).
• Expertise in MS Entity Framework, integrations with ERP/OMS/PIM.
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, creativity, systematic problem-solving, teamwork.

Nice to have

• Shopify Certification or other e-commerce certifications.
• Experience in re-platforming from legacy systems.
• Familiarity with back-end languages (Node.js, Ruby).
