Nuclear Equipment Surveyor (Nuclear)

Location: Birmingham, United Kingdom; predominantly home based with periodic visits to manufacturing locations in the UK and Europe. Restricted to UK Nationals.

What you will do

• Review procedures and inspection plans for conformity with international codes, standards, and project-specific requirements.
• Conduct inspections at manufacturing sites and make technical decisions.
• Create and issue inspection deliverables.
• Supervise on-site inspectors and review and consolidate inspection reports.
• Communicate review findings and inspection results to manufacturers and end clients.
• Attend online and face-to-face meetings and periodically visit manufacturing locations in the UK and Europe.

Requirements

• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Technical knowledge of welding, materials, heat treatment, and NDT.
• Ability to use and understand international standards such as ASME and BS EN ISO series.
• Comfort working unsupervised for extended periods from a predominantly home-based setup.
• UK National status is required, and security clearance must be undertaken.

Nice to have

• Experience with nuclear industry-specific codes such as RCC-M.
• Broad technical coverage across the listed inspection disciplines; specialist support is available from the nuclear team.
