Software Engineer (TypeScript)

Location: Remote in Europe, Argentina, or the US East Coast

Compensation: $100K–$350K plus equity

What you will do

• Design and build full-stack systems integrating React frontends with backend services.
• Develop scalable APIs and services using TypeScript, Kotlin, and Go.
• Deploy and operate services on AWS and other cloud providers.
• Own features end to end, from design and implementation through deployment and production support.
• Design API contracts, optimize database interactions, and build scalable systems that expose AI capabilities.
• Collaborate with AI researchers, security researchers, and backend engineers.

Requirements

• Experience building and operating full-stack systems.
• Strong TypeScript skills and experience designing or consuming REST or GraphQL APIs.
• Strong backend development experience with Node, Kotlin, Go, or similar languages.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work with incomplete information.
• Clear communication and comfort working in a fast-paced, early-stage startup environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with event-driven architectures, message queues, or asynchronous workflows.
• Experience with AWS, infrastructure as code, Terraform, or CDK.
• Experience with React and TypeScript prototyping, relational database design, and PostgreSQL optimization.
• Background in systems programming, networking, performance tuning, or hybrid cloud and on-premises deployments.
• Experience building security products or products for technical users.

Hiring process

• 45-minute introductory conversation with the Talent team.
• 45-minute interview with an Engineering Lead.
• Two- to three-hour technical deep dive based on a relevant case study, followed by a 30-minute final meeting.
