What you will do

• Lead the architectural vision for the backend and the Intelligent Edge team.
• Extend the OpenTelemetry Collector with new aggregation and sampling capabilities to optimize data volume.
• Architect and optimize core ingestion and processing pipelines for massive scale and complexity.
• Own platform reliability, proactively identify risks, and foster a security-first engineering culture.
• Define standards for code quality, testing, and observability while mentoring engineers across the organization.

Requirements

• Deep architectural expertise in building and scaling distributed backend systems using Go.
• Solid knowledge of Kafka and messaging system patterns for efficient data processing.
• Proficiency in leveraging AI and agentic coding tools to accelerate development cycles.
• Expertise in OpenTelemetry and modern observability/monitoring practices.
• Must be based in Europe (EMEA).
