Legal Counsel - APAC (Fintech)

What you will do

• Provide legal advice to the contracts team in a fast-paced, business-facing environment.
• Draft, analyze, and negotiate commercial agreements, including processor agreements, NDAs, novation agreements, and guarantees.
• Collaborate with global legal team members and senior leadership on strategic projects and regulatory issues.
• Develop and maintain templates, policies, and procedures to address new business requirements.
• Identify and implement productivity improvements to enhance legal department efficiency.

Requirements

• Law degree from a top-tier university (specialization in business, financial services, or international law is a plus).
• At least 5 years of post-qualification experience in a major law firm or in-house within the Financial Services industry or M&A.
• Strong background in commercial, contractual, and corporate law.
• Fluency in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and coordinate with colleagues across South America, Europe, USA, Africa, and Asia.
