TL;DR

Sr SOC Verification Engineer (AI): Designing and verifying custom silicon for cloud-scale machine learning acceleration with an accent on SOC-level verification and testbench development. Focus on integrating 3rd party IPs, executing coverage plans, and optimizing silicon yield and performance for Inferentia and Trainium chips.

Location: Must be based in Austin, TX or Cupertino, CA

Salary: $159,200 – $247,600 annually

What you will do

  • Verify custom chip designs at the SOC level.
  • Integrate 3rd party IPs and VIPs into the SOC testbench.
  • Create comprehensive test plans, write robust random test cases, and execute coverage plans.
  • Maintain autosmoke and regression infrastructure.
  • Perform deep-dive bug analysis and triage.
  • Mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
  • 8+ years of design verification experience using System Verilog and UVM.
  • 8+ years of experience in testbench development including stimulus, checkers, assertions, and coverage.
  • Location: Ability to work from Austin, TX or Cupertino, CA.

Nice to have

  • Experience with UVM test benches, FPGA, emulator, software environments, and system testing.
  • Proficiency in C/C++ and Object-Oriented Programming.
  • Experience with scripting languages, such as Python.
  • Knowledge of AMBA protocols (AHB/APB/AXI) and interconnect protocols (PCIe, UCIe).
  • Experience with memory sub-systems, cache coherency, and synchronization techniques.
  • Background in verifying complex CPU, GPU, or ML accelerator designs.
