Location: Must relocate to the Netherlands (Delft)

Salary: €3,546 – €5,538 per month

What you will do

  • Build conceptual and modeling foundations for the ReSolVe project.
  • Develop metrics to measure resilience, sustainability, and regulatory readiness in supply chains.
  • Design models to simulate supply chain responses to policy shifts, climate risks, and market shocks.
  • Translate regulatory requirements into elements for decision-support models.
  • Collaborate with industrial stakeholders and policy partners to link research with practical applications.
  • Publish scientific findings and expand professional networks in systems modeling.

Requirements

  • PhD in systems engineering, industrial engineering, operations research, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Experience with system modeling or scenario analysis (e.g., system dynamics, agent-based modeling, MCDA).
  • Proficiency in Python for programming and modeling.
  • English: C1+ level (strong analytical, writing, and communication skills).
  • Location: Must be able to relocate to the Netherlands.

Nice to have

  • Background in stakeholder modeling, policy analysis, or regulatory interpretation.
  • Familiarity with integer programming techniques.
  • Knowledge of ESG, circularity, or compliance standards.
  • Experience in interdisciplinary research with industry or public sector stakeholders.
