What you will do

• Build SQL Server environments from scratch, configuring security, scalability, and high availability setups like Always On Availability Groups.
• Own platform stability, performing day-to-day reliability management for production workloads.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements through documentation and controls.
• Handle lifecycle management including patching, upgrades, backups, and transaction logs.
• Optimize performance by monitoring health, resolving blocking/deadlocks, and tuning indexes.
• Automate operations with PowerShell and T-SQL scripts; respond to incidents via on-call rotation.

Requirements

• 5+ years hands-on Microsoft SQL Server experience in production environments
• Proven ability to install, configure, and build new SQL Server instances from scratch
• Strong T-SQL proficiency and deep SQL Server architecture knowledge
• Experience with backups, transaction logs, lifecycle management, and high-availability configurations
• Familiarity with compliance in regulated environments (healthcare preferred)
• Independent operation with strong ownership, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills

• SQL Server Always On Availability Groups experience
