What you will do

• Design, improve, and debug complex distributed systems while managing cross-team backend dependencies for unblocked feature delivery
• Lead code reviews, technical specifications, and architectural planning to maintain high shipping standards
• Develop and maintain React frontend handling complex state and branching logic for seamless user experience
• Implement scalable Ruby on Rails and GraphQL APIs as high-performance foundation for new features
• Write extensible, test-driven code and own projects from design to production deployment
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks impacting user adoption and performance; mentor teammates

Requirements

• Located anywhere in Canada
• 5+ years building highly-performant web applications
• Experience collaborating with Product & Design on end-to-end product experiences
• In-depth knowledge of AWS or equivalent cloud platforms
• Proven experience with relational databases and key-value stores at scale
• Skills in navigating backend dependencies, testing strategies, and AI-assisted tools
