CAD Engineer for CPU Logic Design and Validation (RTL): Conceptualize, document, and design tools, flows, and methodologies for logic and RTL design of IPs and SoCs with an accent on power, performance, and area optimization. Focus on analyzing retrospective data to identify gaps, driving transformative changes, and collaborating with logic design teams for fast convergence and seamless integration.

Location: Hybrid in Austin, Texas, US (split time between on-site at hirify.global site and off-site)

Salary: $122,440–$172,860

What you will do

  • Develop and document tools, flows, and methodologies (TFM) for logic/RTL design of IPs and SoCs.
  • Define and optimize methodologies to improve power, performance, and area.
  • Analyze data to identify gaps and drive incremental or transformative changes to TFM.
  • Collaborate with logic design teams to define best practices and enable fast design convergence.
  • Ensure seamless handoff and reuse between IPs and SoCs.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends for alignment with emerging architectures and process nodes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years experience with BS, 2+ with MS, or PhD.
  • Expertise in RTL design and verification processes.
  • Proficiency with EDA tools (synthesis, static timing analysis, formal verification).
  • Strong programming/scripting (Python, Perl, TCL, or similar).

Nice to have

  • Experience with logic design methodologies for advanced process nodes.
  • Familiarity with power, performance, and area optimization techniques.
  • Proven collaboration across teams for complex solutions.
  • Strong analytical skills for design challenges.
