Salary: USD $119,800 – $234,700 per year (USD $158,400 – $258,000 in San Francisco Bay area and New York City).

What you will do

• Develop and deploy LLMs, SLMs, and RAG models to solve complex data challenges and enhance Bing Places platform.
• Evaluate and integrate latest AI/ML research into scalable production systems.
• Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and product managers to turn research into actionable solutions.
• Build pipelines for data processing, model training, and inferencing to optimize performance and scalability.
• Mentor juniors, share knowledge, and support recruiting for the research team.
• Ensure AI solutions are ethical, fair, unbiased, and compliant with privacy standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering or related AND 4+ years experience in statistics, predictive analytics, research; OR Master’s AND 3+ years; OR Doctorate AND 1+ year; OR equivalent.
• Experience leveraging AI technologies like LLMs, SLMs, RAG for real-world applications.
• Strong background in machine learning and natural language processing.

Nice to have

• Master’s/Doctorate AND 6+/3+ years experience or equivalent.
• 3+ years publishing peer-reviewed research or conference presentations.
• Proven expertise deploying AI solutions in production.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and big data technologies.
