Salary: $158,400 – $258,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop advanced LLM post-training and alignment techniques to improve reasoning quality, safety, and factual grounding.
• Architect and optimize next-generation search pipelines, including retrieval, ranking, and relevance systems.
• Build and refine RAG pipelines to reduce hallucinations and deliver context-aware, user-aligned responses.
• Translate research breakthroughs into scalable, production-ready systems in collaboration with engineering partners.
• Mentor junior team members and engage with the academic community to strengthen the talent pipeline.
• Evaluate model performance using quantitative metrics and user-centric evaluation frameworks.

Requirements

• PhD in Statistics, CS, EE, or related field with 1+ year of experience, OR Master's with 3+ years, OR Bachelor's with 4+ years.
• Must be based in or be able to work from the Mountain View office (Hybrid: 4 days per week).
• Proven experience in statistics, predictive analytics, or applied AI research.
• Ability to translate complex research insights into measurable business impact.

Nice to have

• 3+ years of experience creating peer-reviewed academic papers, patents, or libraries.
• Experience as an invited speaker at industry or academic conferences.
• Experience deploying products through the full cycle from ideation to shipping.
