TL;DR

Director of Shopify (DTC): Own and scale the Shopify channel end-to-end, driving revenue growth, CVR, AOV, and LTV with an accent on technical expertise, CRO, and lifecycle marketing. Focus on optimizing conversion funnels, building advanced analytics dashboards, and leading a specialized Shopify team.

Location: South Africa (fully remote, flexible scheduling aligned to PST)

What you will do

  • Own end-to-end Shopify channel scaling, including revenue, CVR, AOV, and LTV growth.
  • Manage Shopify ecosystem: themes, integrations, site performance, and infrastructure.
  • Lead product launches with optimized pages, bundles, subscriptions, and merchandising.
  • Drive CRO via A/B testing, funnel optimization, and data experimentation.
  • Build analytics dashboards for traffic, conversion, retention, and unit economics.
  • Execute lifecycle marketing (email/SMS) to boost retention and subscriptions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally and establish scalable processes and SOPs.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing Shopify team.

Requirements

  • South Africa location required (remote, PST-aligned)
  • Proven experience scaling Shopify stores in DTC brands with revenue/CVR/AOV/LTV impact.
  • Strong Shopify expertise: themes, Liquid, apps, integrations.
  • Advanced analytics, CRO, A/B testing, dashboard building.
  • Deep Klaviyo experience for lifecycle marketing, segmentation, automation.
  • Tracking, attribution, pixel implementation across marketing channels.
  • Cross-functional collaboration and intrapreneurial ownership.
  • Leadership experience or readiness to manage teams.

Nice to have

  • Experience in supplements, health/wellness, or regulated DTC categories.
