What you will do

• Design, build, and operate scalable backend services and APIs for mobile applications using modern and AI-assisted practices
• Partner with mobile engineers to define API contracts and deliver high-performance user experiences
• Own service reliability, scalability, performance, deployment, monitoring, and optimization in AWS
• Drive backend best practices in testing, observability, and efficiency with AI-driven tooling
• Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver features and improve systems through AI

Requirements

• Location: Brazil (Remote)
• 4+ years as backend or full-stack engineer with strong backend focus
• Proficiency in JVM-based languages (Java, Kotlin) and scalable RESTful APIs
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, API design, backend performance optimization
• Experience with AWS and modern deployment practices, exposure to AI-assisted tools
• Strong ownership, collaboration skills, experience with mobile/frontend teams, BFF pattern
