TL;DR
Collateral Management Specialist (Finance): Manage collateral protection insurance, vehicle titles, repossessions, and asset recovery for auto loans with an accent on compliance, vendor relationships, and operational efficiency. Focus on processing titles and liens, coordinating vehicle dispositions and auctions, resolving insurance claims, and supporting audits and reporting.
Location: Hybrid onsite in Tukwila, WA or remote in Oregon. Current valid Washington State driver’s license required.
Salary: Target $26.35–$32.12 hourly; full range $21.65–$38.03 hourly.

What you will do
- Manage Collateral Protection Insurance (CPI) program: respond to questions, resolve issues, administer policies and claims accurately.
- Track, process, correct, reissue, transfer, and release vehicle titles, ensuring lien perfection and state compliance.
- Coordinate with repossession agencies, transportation, attorneys, and repair vendors for quality service and timely resolutions.
- Handle asset recovery: coordinate repairs, transportation, inventory, preparation, and sale of repossessed vehicles via auctions.
- Update internal systems (DNA/Framework), post checks/fees, review sold files for billbacks, and ensure payment accuracy.
- Prepare statistical/financial reports, gather repossession insurance data, and support monthly reporting.
- Maintain compliance knowledge and assist with state/federal audits and examinations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum two years’ experience in automotive industry, auction, or auto repossession.
- Current valid Washington State driver’s license.
- Full-time hours with additional as necessary.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams, PowerPoint).
- Excellent organizational skills, interpersonal skills, collection skills, and high accuracy.
Nice to have
- Experience with auto sales through auctions or dealer experience.
- ICA-certified ACE or above.
- Previous experience within or another financial institution.
- Ability to drive a vehicle with manual transmission.
