What you will do
- Design, modify, and implement CAD templates for project-based schematic development using AutoCAD Electrical.
- Research hardware BOMs, new components, and competitive products; organize prototype building, testing, and analysis.
- Develop functional requirements, translate into detailed design documents, and participate in buy-build analysis.
- Apply analytical thinking to identify root causes and create solutions for organizational problems.
- Manage multiple priorities, projects, and timelines effectively.
Requirements
- Demonstrated analytical thinking with specific tools/techniques for root cause analysis and problem-solving.
- Managing multiple priorities with effective self-management and time allocation.
- Technical excellence in Controls Hardware/CAD, including understanding of electrical controls (PLCs, relays, selector switches, pushbuttons, transformers, communications protocols).
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design & Engineering using AutoCAD Electrical for schematics, panel layouts, and database extractions.
- Knowledge of product design processes for electrical controls concepts and manufacturing drawings.
- Detail-oriented with ability to research unfamiliar components and keep projects on track.
Nice to have
- Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science, or equivalent 2-4 years experience.
- Experience with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, Autodesk Vault.
- Microsoft proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access.
