What you will do
- Work with engineers on new projects from scratch or within existing codebase
- Build backend wiring, application logic, and UI for products
- Drive development process including design, coding, documenting, testing, debugging, and tuning
- Provide estimates, evaluate feasibility, and assess new platforms/technologies
- Collaborate across development teams to design and release products
- Mentor teammates and share learnings
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in software engineering
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science or related discipline
- Excellent programming skills in an object-oriented language
- Experience with web development: SQL databases, caching, backend APIs, Javascript, CSS
- Experience building, scaling, and monitoring resilient systems
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Passion for improving education through technology
