Junior/Mid Software Engineer (Systematic Hedge Fund): Building and optimising a low-latency distributed risk platform calculating RTR for cross-asset strategies with an accent on high-throughput Java systems. Focus on interfacing with Quants from trading pods and developing business-critical applications impacting firm-wide trading activity.

Salary: Up to £180k TC

What you will do

• Build and optimise the core risk platform as part of a small tech team (<10 people) headed by CTO.
• Develop low-latency, distributed systems for real-time risk (RTR) calculations across asset strategies.
• Regularly interface with Quants from trading pods to support trading activities.
• Work on business-critical applications directly impacting all firm trading.

Requirements

• Experience building and optimising high-throughput systems in Java.
• Background in Middle Office or Front Office preferred.
• No prior experience or knowledge of Risk required.

Nice to have

• Exposure to Frontend technologies (React ideally).
