Senior Backend Engineer (Java)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain mission-critical banking services and applications.
• Lead architectural decisions for distributed systems and microservices.
• Build and support cloud-native applications across multi-cloud environments.
• Develop RESTful APIs and asynchronous processing solutions.
• Implement comprehensive unit, component, integration, end-to-end, and performance testing.
• Participate in production support, incident management, and system reliability initiatives while collaborating with distributed cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Extensive backend engineering experience with expert proficiency in Java and JVM technologies.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and relational database architecture patterns.
• Experience building and supporting cloud-native applications in production.
• Experience developing RESTful APIs, messaging frameworks, and asynchronous processing solutions.
• Strong production support experience, including incident management and CI/CD automation.
• Comprehensive testing experience across unit, component, integration, end-to-end, and performance testing.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in Kotlin in addition to Java.
• Experience in banking, payments, card issuing, or payment processing.
• Experience with scalable customer-facing platforms in financial services.
