Execution Research Lead (Crypto)

Salary: Up to £170k base plus bonus

hirify.global is recruiting for a top crypto quantitative fund backed by traditional finance.

What you will do

• Create and enhance execution strategies that capture new alpha signals across time horizons from seconds to hours.
• Optimise order placement and scheduling techniques to minimise trading slippage.
• Develop market impact models and integrate them into the portfolio optimisation framework.
• Use internal trading data to validate and improve backtesting engines and performance analysis.
• Collaborate with quantitative researchers on trading strategies and research methodologies.
• Establish and lead the execution research function as its first dedicated hire.

Requirements

• 2–8 years of experience in quantitative trading and execution research.
• Strong background in market microstructure analysis, transaction cost analysis (TCA), and simulator design.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Advanced degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physics.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of C++.
• Familiarity with utility function design, rules-based logic for order execution, and multi-period optimisation.
• Crypto trading experience.
