Senior Radar Software Engineer (Advanced Sensing)

Senior Radar Software Engineer (Advanced Sensing): R&D and production software development for next-generation radar products with an accent on system integration on COTS hardware and supporting deployed capabilities for U.S. and international customers. Location: Full-time onsite in Hawthorne, California (Los Angeles office), United States. U.S. Person status required to access U.S.-only data systems.

Salary: $140,000 - $220,000

What you will do

• Develop R&D and production software for next-generation radar products
• Integrate software with hardware, primarily COTS systems
• Support deployed software capabilities for U.S. and international customers
• Collaborate on multiple product capabilities and expand across product families

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
• 3+ years professional object-oriented software development experience
• Extensive advanced Python experience
• Experience with Agile processes including Scrum, Continuous Integration, and Test-Driven Development
• Solid understanding and extensive experience developing software on Linux
• Ability to work with minimal supervision in small teams; U.S. Person status required

Nice to have

• Development experience in ground or airborne sensors (radars, EO/IR, EW)
• Radar modes, algorithms, signal processing, target detection and tracking
• DoD security clearance, networks, CUDA, Software-Defined Radios (SDRs), time synchronization
• Near-real-time embedded software, git, containers (Docker), cloud/virtualization
• BIOS/Secure Boot/TPM, drive encryption, 2D/3D visualization, DoD architectures
• Modeling & simulation, DevOps/DevSecOps/CI/CD, high-TRL systems I&T and V&V
• Additional languages: C++, Rust, NodeJS, Java, Go
