Production Test Engineer

Salary Range: $120,000 - $160,000

What you will do

• Develop and execute automated test solutions for RF and radar electronic systems
• Design and maintain Python-based automation for hardware control, test sequencing, and data collection
• Automate workstation provisioning using Ubuntu/Linux and Ansible
• Troubleshoot automation scripts, lab systems, and networked test environments
• Configure networking including static IPs, VLANs, and diagnostics
• Analyze and visualize test data for engineering validation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance test system efficiency
• Document test procedures, workflows, and troubleshooting processes

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 3–6 years of experience in test automation, hardware validation, or related engineering roles
• Proficiency in Python for test automation, including virtual environments
• Working knowledge of Ubuntu/Linux (command line, log analysis, system configuration)
• Experience with Ansible or similar for OS installation and workstation setup
• Networking fundamentals: static IP, VLANs, basic troubleshooting
• Ability to debug integration issues between hardware, software, and networks

Nice to have

• Experience with RF systems, radar, or high-frequency electronics
• Familiarity with RF test equipment (spectrum analyzers, signal generators, network analyzers)
• Experience supporting defense or aerospace programs
• Data analysis and visualization tools (NumPy, pandas, Matplotlib, Plotly, tkinter)
