Principal Software Engineer

TL;DR

Principal Software Engineer (Radar Systems): Research & Development and production software for next-generation radar products with an accent on system integration on COTS hardware and support for deployed capabilities. Focus on developing high-reliability software using Python and Linux, Agile processes, and near-real-time systems.

Location: Full-time onsite in Hawthorne, California. U.S. Person status required to access U.S.-only data systems.

Salary: $120,000 - $170,000

What you will do

• Develop R&D and production software for next-generation radar products.
• Support system integration of software on COTS hardware.
• Maintain and support deployed software for U.S. and international customers.
• Collaborate in small teams using Agile, Scrum, CI, and TDD methodologies.
• Expand skills across multiple product capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related.
• 5+ years in professional object-oriented software development.
• Extensive Python and Linux experience.
• Experience with Agile, Scrum, CI, and TDD.
• U.S. Person status required.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision in small teams.

Nice to have

• HW/SW integration and V&V of high-TRL systems.
• Production SW deployment with DevOps/DevSecOps/CI/CD.
• Networks, CUDA/JAX, SDRs, near-real-time systems.
• C++, Rust, NodeJS, Java, Go, git, Docker/Podman.
