Process Engineer/Scientist (Silicon and III-V)

Process Engineer/Scientist (Silicon and III-V): Develop, optimize and control manufacturing processes for microelectronic devices on silicon and III-V materials with an accent on fabrication techniques including photolithography, etching, deposition and metallization. Focus on troubleshooting process issues, implementing Six Sigma improvements, designing experiments and transferring processes to production.

Location: Vaudreuil-Dorion, Quebec, Canada (onsite). Proficiency in French required for francophone work environment; excellent English for technical communications.

What you will do

• Provide technical support for silicon devices, III-V photodiodes and laser emitters fabrication.
• Troubleshoot process issues and implement corrective/preventive actions.
• Apply Six Sigma for continuous improvement across all activities.
• Develop and optimize automated process controls.
• Design experiments, qualify processes and transfer to production.
• Train production personnel, manage projects and maintain technological watch.

Requirements

• Bachelor's in engineering (physics, electrical, chemical), physics or chemistry; master's or relevant experience as asset.
• At least 1 year in microelectronic device fabrication.
• Knowledge of microfabrication: photolithography, metrology, wet/plasma etching, diffusion, CVD, metallization, optical coatings.
• Proficiency in French (spoken/written); excellent English (spoken/written).
• Strong organization, rigor and team skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in plasma/wet etching.
• Six Sigma green belt and statistical process control.
• Project management experience.
