TL;DR

Payroll & Benefits Analyst (HR): Own end-to-end payroll processing, statutory compliance, and vendor coordination for Malaysia and regional markets with an accent on accurate payouts, reconciliations, and internal controls. Location: Remote (China, Beijing). Payroll responsibilities cover Malaysia and selected overseas entities.

What you will do

  • Own end-to-end monthly payroll processing for Malaysia and assigned markets, validating joiners, exits, allowances, incentives, claims, attendance, and deductions.
  • Manage statutory submissions and compliance including EPF, SOCSO, EIS, income tax, ensuring adherence to local labor laws.
  • Perform payroll checks, reconciliations, validations, and maintain audit-ready documentation with strong internal controls.
  • Process salary adjustments, promotions, bonuses, allowances, and ad-hoc payments accurately and confidentially.
  • Coordinate payroll vendors, regional partners, and EOR providers, resolving discrepancies and enforcing SLAs.
  • Prepare reports and reconciliations for HR, Finance, management, audits, budgeting, and compensation analysis.
  • Identify workflow gaps and support SOP improvements, automation, and HRIS integration.

Requirements

  • Experience in payroll operations, preferably multi-country or regional.
  • Strong understanding of Malaysian payroll legislation and statutory requirements.
  • Hands-on experience with payroll systems, HRIS tools, and spreadsheets.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and strong problem-solving ability.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong coordination skills for working with HR, Finance, and external vendors.
  • Proactive mindset focused on continuous process improvement.
