Product Security Architect III (AI)

Location: United States — Seattle; compensation ranges are also provided for Austin and San Jose.

Salary: $146,000–$204,500 annually in Seattle, with potential pay up to $233,500 based on sustained performance. Austin offers the same range; San Jose offers $157,500–$220,500, with potential pay up to $252,000.

What you will do

• Define security architecture patterns, standards, and reference designs for secure-by-design product development.
• Partner with product, engineering, and infrastructure teams on secure system architectures, APIs, low-level designs, and data models.
• Lead threat modeling, security design reviews, and risk assessments for complex product initiatives.
• Guide implementation of authentication, authorization, encryption, key management, and secrets-handling controls.
• Help teams safely integrate and operate AI/ML-enabled solutions and apply AI/ML concepts to real-world products.
• Influence technical roadmaps by aligning product security with business, regulatory, and operational requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of relevant professional experience in product or application security.
• Hands-on experience designing secure architectures for services, APIs, and data models in complex distributed systems.
• Ownership of security architecture for a significant product area, service group, or domain from design through implementation.
• Strong knowledge of secure software development, identity and access management, cryptography, cloud-native security controls, and AI-driven systems.
• Experience with high-availability, high-throughput, data-intensive, and API-centric products, threat modeling, security reviews, CI/CD security automation, telemetry, and monitoring.

Nice to have

• Experience defining security architecture patterns at scale across multi-service or domain-wide ecosystems.
• Experience governing model security, data protection, responsible AI use, and AI/ML product security.
• Expertise in security metrics, risk scores, and telemetry for prioritizing security investments.
