Salary: $200,000 – $275,000

What you will do

• Own core backend systems for the user-facing product including market creation, settlement, and payouts.
• Design, build, and operate low-latency Go services handling application and blockchain read state.
• Improve indexing, caching, database, and service architecture for scale, correctness, and reliability.
• Build systems to handle bursty traffic and recover under failure.
• Own observability with logs, metrics, tracing, alerting, profiling, and production debugging.
• Handle incident response, uptime, scaling; collaborate with founders on architecture and product.

Requirements

• Expert Go proficiency including concurrency patterns, context management, race detection, profiling.
• Distributed systems experience building low-latency user-facing systems at scale with idempotency, ordering, consistency.
• Strong database skills in schema design, transactions, performance tuning for high-throughput.
• Operational experience with production systems, DevOps (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/GCP), incident response.
• Startup experience in high-autonomy, docs-heavy, async-first environment.

Nice to have

• Real-time systems: websockets, pub/sub, streaming, event-driven architectures.
• Security hardening for backend systems.
