Senior Go Developer

TL;DR

Senior Go Developer: Building core systems that enable thousands of children through the AV1 robot with an accent on improving existing services and implementing novel features. Focus on engineering high-performance systems to handle live video, audio, events, and massive data collection.

Location: Based in Oslo with hybrid flexibility. Must already be in Norway or relocating from within the EU/EEA.

What you will do

• Design and implement backend APIs and shared modules, primarily in Golang, that connect robots, mobile apps, web clients, and cloud services.
• Develop data models, schemas, and safe up/down migrations across relational, NoSQL, and analytical stores.
• Design container-based, event-driven services and asynchronous processing pipelines that handle real-world usage patterns.
• Collaborate closely with frontend/mobile, platform, and embedded teams to shape APIs, contracts, and integration patterns.
• Contribute to developer experience by refining tooling, local dev environments, and shared libraries for backend work.
• Help evolve data pipelines and assets for analytics, user insights, and future predictive modelling.

Requirements

• Deep experience in Golang, API design, backend architecture, and distributed systems.
• Proven experience with AWS services, Sentry, and Grafana.
• Solid experience with relational, NoSQL, OLAP databases and caches (e.g. MySQL, MongoDB, ClickHouse, Redis).
• Must already be in Norway or relocating from within the EU/EEA.
• Clear, direct communication, with empathy when working with frontend/mobile, embedded, platform, and non-technical peers.
• Higher education in a STEM field (BSc/MSc).
