What you will do

• Read and interpret schematic drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine assembly instructions.
• Assemble electrical systems, install components, wiring, and conduit using tools like rivets, bolts, and soldering.
• Run wire and cable, adjust or replace parts to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Drill holes, clean parts, and test wiring installations for operation and record results.
• Confer with supervisors to resolve production problems and mark components for inventory.
• Perform mechanical assembly of switchgear cabinets as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of experience in wiring/electrical components or technical vocational program.
• Strong attention to detail, reading comprehension for blueprints and diagrams.
• Basic math skills, understanding of tools (tape measure, impact drill, wire crimpers).
• Ability to lift 35 pounds, manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, distinguish colors.

• Prolonged standing, bending, kneeling; wear PPE (gloves, safety glasses, hard hat, ear protection).
