Manager of Data Science, Finance & Strategy (AI)

Location: Menlo Park, California, with in-person attendance required 5 days per week

Base pay: $202,000–$238,000 in Zone 1; $178,000–$209,000 in Zone 2; $158,000–$214,000 in Zone 3, plus bonus opportunities, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of data scientists and analytics engineers while remaining hands-on in technical work.
• Set the team's technical direction, priorities, standards, and culture of experimentation and accountability.
• Lead the NPS program, including survey design, sampling, weighting, driver analysis, verbatim analysis, and executive reporting.
• Oversee survey and research programs covering safety perception, brand and product sentiment, benchmarking, and trend tracking.
• Build agentic workflows and shared infrastructure for analysis, pipelines, quality assurance, and recurring reporting.
• Partner with Finance, Product, Engineering, Operations, and senior leaders to deliver scalable analytics and AI-powered decision support.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or a related field.
• 2+ years of people management experience and experience developing high-performing data science or analytics engineering teams.
• Strong expertise in SQL, Python, statistical analysis, experimentation, and advanced analytics.
• Experience with measurement frameworks, predictive models, benchmarking, and strategic analysis.
• Ability to translate complex business questions into rigorous analyses, actionable insights, and scalable data solutions.
• Strong business judgment, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
